The coming failure of a socialized America

I’ve been away from the blogging for sometime, for myriad of reasons. But now, reading the news, being that I don’t watch television, generally, I can see there are a few things I’ll place links to.

One comment I must make is in regards to the economy, there are other people and sites which deal with the subject far better than I can, so I stay away from commenting.  All I can say, with some real assurance is the fact that the present administration isn’t doing anything.  The economy is crumbling, well, the DOW is dropping, and apparently the president and his cadre like it that way, but it will comeback to get him, because the money he wants to spend is drying up with the economic decline.  Accruing debt is not the way to go.

But Pres. Obama is a lawyer, and socialist, economics isn’t really his strong suit, and it shows.  The average American is not a socialist, and doesn’t want to be.  The Democrats will suffer for it, though it will take years—decades—to fix the damage, and I suspect that the Democrat party will be irreparably damage.  So things aren’t all bad.

The question is:  How many people want to be beholding to the government?  300 Million plus?  Socializing medicine can’t work for the fact that the countries that have don’t have 300 million citizens.

Socialized medicine failed in the USSR.  In England, hospitals can’t kick patients out fast enough.  In Australia, the government is turning government beds over to private medical clinics.

Socialism has failed all over the world, maybe it must fail in the United States before elitist Left faces reality as well as their political doom.

As I see it, there are three basic groups which believe or espouse socialize;

  1. The young college student, which includes the ‘career’ student.  This type has never had a job.  But ignorance is no excuse.
  2. The career academic professor.  Most never had a job or it’s too long ago to remember the experience.
  3. The wealthy socialist who is generally rich via inheritance.  They’ve never worked.

So, the key element here is most socialists never have a job, and as Eric Hoffer (author of the True Believer) once said "[Karl] Marx never did a day of work in his life, and never took the trouble to find out how a worker really feels when on the job.”

Oh, and socialists are generally lazy.
