Why should I care?

Why should I care what Sen. McCain’s daughter writes?  I didn’t even know he had a daughter let alone that her name is Meghan.  Family ties are not a relevant factor for me when judging a candidate.  On second, somewhere in my subconscious, I don’t what relations to be significant, but they are and these family ties lead to political dynasties which are a destructive occurrence, leading to bad government.  But, okay, we have a daughter named Meghan, who has now made splash because she doesn’t like Ann Coulter and someone gave the rant a broader audience.  I still don’t care who she is related to, or what she has to write, say or think.  She doesn’t know or care about me either.

Oh, I’ve only read an excerpt from Megan’s rant.  Nothing new.  Ranting is a pastime and now, with the internet, people can do it in public form far removed from the street corner or the park soapbox.  Hell, I do it myself, but and there is a reasonable but, and that is why should Megan have anymore credibility than anyone else.   Such as me for instance.  I, nor my family, is wealthy or in the public light.  In short Megan has no more credibility that anyone other young woman lost in the shadowy of a famous parent.  Being lost in the broad shadow of John McCain is to be very lost indeed.
